Behold our new bottle caps! In an effort to better distinguish our bottled beers from one another, we have upgraded our packaging with a new and distinct bottle cap for each style of beer. All of our caps still share our signature Mayflower ship icon, but the color of each style now matches the color of its 6-pack carton. Besides improving the overall look of each beer, the new caps should help you choose the right one when you’re reaching into your cooler full of Mayflower beer! Below are photos of the four new colors and our first run of Mayflower Pale Ale with the new caps. Cheers and we hope you enjoy the new look!

Happy New Year to all from everyone at Mayflower Brewing Company! We have big plans for the new year and have added a second truck to expand our distribution territory north and west of Boston. If you live in Middlesex or Essex county, ask your local bar or package store for us. With the new truck, we will also now be more consistent with our still-limited deliveries to Worcester and Amherst/Northampton. For your entertainment pleasure, check out this video of the graphics going on our new truck - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kryxB2DkmNo

We packaged our Thanksgiving Ale this week and will soon be delivering it to the market. Unique to Mayflower Brewing Company, our Thanksgiving Ale is a descendant’s take on an English Old Ale. Brewed with a rich array of barley and rye malts and aged on toasted American oak, this full-bodied brew is the perfect beverage for America’s hometown holiday.
As a special surprise this year, we have packaged about half of the beer in 22 ounce bottles. This release is the first of our new “Cooper’s Series”, a line of limited release beers that we will be offering from time to time during the year.
Look for it soon in your local bar, restaurant and package store.
Cheers! — Drew

OK, so maybe the Boston Globe is a bit geographically challenged (Mayflower Brewing Company in Portsmouth, NH?), but we appreciate their support anyway. Check out the comments about our IPA in this Sunday’s Boston Globe Magazine. — Drew

Matt will be at Armsby Abbey in Worcester tonight for a “Meet the Brewer” event from 6-9PM. Besides chatting about Mayflower Brewing and our beers, he’s bringing along some special, one-off releases from us, including a version of our Pale Ale that was conditioned in an infected wine barrel and Audacity of Hops, a beer we brewed with Cambridge Brewing Company for this year’s Craft Brewer’s Conference in Boston. Cheers! — Drew

We are teaming up with British Beer Company to help save the Thanksgiving parade in Plymouth. Starting this week through Thanksgiving, BBC establishments in Plymouth, Cedarville and Pembroke will be donating a portion of all Mayflower IPA sales to the parade. We have donated pint glasses that the BBC will sell in those locations with the proceeds going to the parade, and we will be donating a portion of our growler sales at the brewery to the parade as well. Finally, we will be pouring all of our beer at an event on October 18 at the BBC in Cedarville and donating all proceeds to the parade. Drink Mayflower and support America’s Hometown Celebration! - Drew
