We successfully packaged our Barley Wine yesterday (2/19) and will begin delivering it to customers this coming week.  It will be available in 22 ounce bottles and will be sold through select retail locations and at the brewery.   Mayflower Barley Wine Style Ale is the second release of our Cooper’s Series of limited-batch, wood-aged beers.  Brewed with a single variety of heirloom barley malt - Maris Otter - and aged in oak bourbon barrels for 10 months, it is a rich and complex brew that will warm your soul.  Cheers!

Today we are racking the barley wine out of our bourbon barrels into a bright beer tank.  The beer has been conditioning in these barrels since last April, picking up oak and bourbon flavors and mellowing along the way.  The next step is to package in bottles - we’ll let you know when they are ready.  Cheers!

Behold our new bottle caps!  In an effort to better distinguish our bottled beers from one another, we have upgraded our packaging with a new and distinct bottle cap for each style of beer.  All of our caps still share our signature Mayflower ship icon, but the color of each style now matches the color of its 6-pack carton.  Besides improving the overall look of each beer, the new caps should help you choose the right one when you’re reaching into your cooler full of Mayflower beer!  Below are photos of the four new colors and our first run of Mayflower Pale Ale with the new caps.  Cheers and we hope you enjoy the new look!
