It’s official.  The Brewer’s Association just published its annual craft beer production data for 2008, and out of 1,501 craft breweries in the US, Mayflower Brewing Company finished it’s first year as number 387!  Among the 511 packaging craft breweries (not including brewpubs), we finished in the top 50% at number 239.  A pretty good start for a self-distributing brewery.  Onward and upward! — Drew

We are doing three, count ‘em, three tastings this weekend.  On Friday night, we will be up north at Winchester Wine and Spirits from 6PM to 8PM.  On Saturday afternoon, we go east to Kappy’s in Falmouth from 3PM to 6PM.  And finally, on Sunday, we head west to Julio’s Annual Spring Beer Fest in Westborough from 1PM to 4PM.  A great weekend to try Mayflower!  Hope to see you there.  — Drew

Mayflower Brewing Company is expanding its sales team and is looking for a highly-qualified and entrepreneurial individual to serve as a sales representative for the Boston area.

Description:

Your goal is to increase the awareness and distribution of our beer in the Boston market by growing our base of on-premise and off-premise customers and increasing our penetration within existing accounts. Key tasks will include conducting market research, developing promotional plans, and hosting events and programs.  This position requires flexible hours, daily travel and weekend events.

Requirements:

Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, goal-oriented and have the ability to communicate well with people.  Knowledge of craft beer and previous sales experience in the Boston area are preferred but not necessary.  College degree preferred.
